Jour 4....Les aventures!

Bonsoir!  Another incredible day!  The weather is improving and we experienced the cold winds of Quebec City from the Fleuve St-Laurent.  We started the day off with a tour of the Observatoire and spectacular views of Quebec City from above.  Afterwards, we went the museum of the Plains of Abraham for an animated historical workshop.  Students were divided into teams and had challenges throughout the day with reenactment activities.  Group work was the theme of the day.  We played games on the Plains of Abraham, followed by a guided tour of the Citadel.  The highlight at the Citadel was not the historical aspects but rather a sandy and dirty snow bank and a ground hog hiding in the fortified walls!  This was followed by walking tour towards the Chateau Frontenac and the second highlight of the day....SHOPPING!  We bought the famous Quebec hoodies!!  We ate dinner at a restaurant in old Quebec.  The evening finished with a tour and animated workshop in the Tour Mortello!!  All the students are in their rooms for the night and settling down.  Everyone is HAPPY and healthy.  The student participation and behaviour is excellent; I am so proud of their energy, enthusiasm and positive attitudes.  Everyone is participating and we are learning so many new things and excellent french expressions!

IMPORTANT*  We will be having our second and final email session tomorrow night.  If you received an email from the Auberge account, you can re-write your child to my school account and I will forward it to them.  My school email is cshuh@sd63.bc.ca
It would be great if you could send your child a brief note...don't forget, we are three hours ahead of you.  Thank you for your support!
